its name.
In April 2011, Wouter and Mientjie Prozesky opened their door to the children nobody else had room for. Rock of Hope has been living up to its name ever since — a registered place of safety and nursery that gives abandoned babies and toddlers what every child is owed: warmth, care and a loving home.
The shelter runs almost entirely on what the community brings to it — donations, groceries, nappies and, above all, hands. There are always more children than helpers, which is why volunteers matter as much as money.
